Description

Objective:

The course objective is for students to recognize the colloquial language of the latest Russian crime dramas in line with cultural specifics of the Russian mentality and language expressions at various walks of modern Russian society.

Learning Outcomes:

  • discuss the author’s intent and emotional overtones in the language of the latest Russian crime dramas;
  • evaluate the language of the latest Russian crime dramas with certain communicative situations, type of discourse, age, profession and social status of speakers/writers;
