The course objective is to evaluate a personal financial statement and create a personal balance sheet; develop a data set that includes personal expenses and forecasted expenses for future weeks and create a personal monthly budget to track spending versus projections; interpret information from TransUnion and Experian credit reports; decipher information included in a credit card statement; compare the implications of having excellent, good, bad, limited, or no credit and the credit card options for each; take into consideration the financial situation of an individual when providing a recommendation for a car and payment plan; and participate in a debate discussing real estate investment, real estate bubble and crash, and the pros and cons for owning a home.
