The course objective is to justify and describe how Six Sigma improves quality by eliminating defects from products and services in an organization; assess how Six Sigma increases value to customers and shareholders; discuss examples of Hoshin objectives and how they tie in to balanced scorecard strategy; recognize typical icons and visual display techniques used on a Value Stream Map; review the organizational benefits of Kaizen; explore Lean thinking and how the organization operates more efficiently; identify the six forms of waste in an organization with relation to Lean; and support reasons why organizations implement process improvement and Lean Six Sigma.
