The program objective is to provide the student with a combination of in classroom and project-based learning in STEM fields. Students will gain knowledge and work experience at a Fortune 150 company. The program structure will incorporate fieldwork along with classroom learning experiences utilizing transferable skills noted in the Secretary of Labor's SCANS (Secretary's Commission of Achieving Necessary Skills 1991) report. Skill development will take place in both technical and non-technical areas including resume writing, presentation, interview skills, and Lean and Six Sigma basics for Yellow Belt certification.
