The objective of Level II is to provide a better understanding Semiconductors through hands-on lab exercises. Learning Outcomes: explain the basic functions of diodes and rectifiers found in semiconductors and list the characteristics of diodes understand how the following power supplies work in semiconductors: voltage, regulation, ripple voltage, full wave rectifiers, and bridge rectifier test or demonstrate ability to test diodes to determine opens, shorts, and leads demonstrate an understanding of schematic symbols and draw schematic diagrams list the three main categories of photo-operated devices and describe applications for different optoelectronic devices identify differential and operational amplifiers list different electronic control devices and circuits demonstrate how to test SCRs with the DMM, a DIAC, and the TRIAC with the DMM.
